Stamina Templar Solo Build - ESO U50 PTS Guide
Nothing here is final. This page is being built as I test Stamina Templar on the U50 PTS, and ZOS will keep pushing patches until Week 4. Expect the setup, numbers and section details to keep changing until then.
Stamina Templar (StamPlar) Solo Build for ESO. Biting Jabs is a very strong spammable thanks to the Class Mastery, and Radiant Glory is a very strong execute.
StamPlar is a strong solo build, parsing 67.6k in the regular setup and 73.3k in the full damage setup on the 6 million Target Dummy.
Class Mastery
Class Masteries are a new U50 system where each class picks 2 of 5 passive bonuses (Class Mastery Points, not Skill Points). Activating subclassing in any capacity disables Class Mastery, so it's a tradeoff between keeping your native skill lines or subclassing.

Skill Setups
Base Setup
A base setup that will work for most situations and which should be your starting point when making situational setups
| Front Bar | Back Bar |
|---|---|
| Slot 1: Biting Jabs | Slot 1: Restoring Focus |
| Slot 2: Radiant Glory | Slot 2: Solar Barrage |
| Slot 3: Power of the Light | Slot 3: Elemental Susceptibility |
| Slot 4: Luminous Shards | Slot 4: Blockade of Fire |
| Slot 5: Ulfsild's Contingency | Slot 5: Vampire's Bane |
| Ultimate: Everlasting Sweep | Ultimate: Shooting Star |
- Biting Jabs - your main spammable. It also grants Major Brutality and Major Sorcery, so use it at least once every 10 seconds, even in execute.
- Radiant Glory - an execute to which you should switch when your enemy is roughly at 25% HP. It'll heal you for 15% of the damage done
- Power of the Light - an ability that deals a lot of damage and applies the Sundered status effect. Sundered applies Minor Breach and grants you 100 Weapon and Spell Damage for 4 seconds.
- Luminous Shards - a 10 second ground DoT which will grant you a synergy which restores 3960 Stamina and Magicka when used
- Ulfsild's Contingency (Bleed, Lingering Torment, Resolve) - a 22 second DoT which will also grant you Minor Resolve, increasing your armor by 2974
- Everlasting Sweep - an ultimate that deals AoE damage around you and continues to deal damage for 10 seconds, increasing by 2 seconds for each enemy hit.
- Restoring Focus - places a rune on the ground and grants Major Resolve for 20 seconds. It also restores Stamina and heals you while you're standing inside of the rune.
- Solar Barrage - a 22 second DoT effect which deals damage around you and increases your damage done with class abilities by 5%
- Elemental Susceptibility - an extremely strong ability that does a multitude of things. It's completely free to cast so it'll help you sustain. It applies Major Breach, which reduces enemies' armor by 5948 which is a massive damage increase. It also applies Burning, Chilled and Concussed status effects at the beginning and then every 7.5 seconds. Concussed will apply Minor Vulnerability for 4 seconds, increasing enemies' damage taken by 5%. Chilled will apply Minor Maim for 4 seconds, reducing enemies' damage done by 5%
- Blockade of Fire - this ability will constantly apply your Weapon Damage enchantment. Since this setup uses an Inferno Staff, it also deals extra damage to Burning enemies.
- Vampire's Bane - a long DoT that also grants Major Savagery and Major Prophecy.
- Shooting Star - an ultimate that deals damage in an AoE, leaves a ground DoT and grants you Ultimate for each enemy hit with the initial blast
Solar Barrage is the first back-bar skill that has to go if you need to slot a back-bar situational skill. If the situational skill needs a front-bar slot, replace Luminous Shards, unless the situational skill specifically says it's replacing something else.
- Silver Leash - a chain ability that you can slot in trash packs to stack enemies and get through them faster
- Razor Caltrops - a source of AoE Major Breach which can be used instead of Elemental Susceptibility in AoE fights
- Revealing Flare - slot it for more difficult fights where you need more damage mitigation. It's a skill that passively grants Major Protection, reducing your damage taken by 10%. It will also trigger the Magicka Aid passive, which increases Magicka Recovery by 10%
- Race Against Time - snare removal which will be crucial for some fights
- Ritual of Retribution - a decent ground DoT which cleanses 2 debuffs when cast. It becomes worth it whenever a fight has some important debuff you need to cleanse
- Precognition - an ultimate that breaks you out of some otherwise unavoidable stuns, you'll need it to get around some mechanics which are otherwise impossible or very difficult to solo, like for example Inferno's Hold in Zaan the Scalecaller fight
Priority List
This is just a list of priorities. Simply recast abilities when they run out and follow this list of priorities when there are multiple things to refresh

- 2. Elemental Susceptibility
- 3. Vampire's Bane
- 4. Power of the Light
- 5. Ulfsild's Contingency
- 6. Solar Barrage
- 7. Blockade of Fire
- 8. Luminous Shards
- 9. Shooting Star if it's ready
- 10. Radiant Glory in execute
- 11. Biting Jabs. Use it at least once every 10 seconds, even in execute, to keep Major Brutality and Major Sorcery up
Pre-buff
These abilities can be pre-cast before entering combat

Gear
Overland (Base) is your starting point and works for most situations. Crafted is a beginner version using only craftable sets. Instanced is a swap for Arenas and Dungeons where enemies have higher armor. Instanced (No Sul-Xan) is for fights without adds.
Switching gear for trash packs isn't worth it unless you're using gear-swap addons

The setup in the table uses only crafted gear, but if you already own parts of the Base setup like Ring of the Pale Order you can start using them immediately.
This is a setup you should use in Instanced content where enemies have 18,200 armor instead of 9,100, as long as there are adds to keep Sul-Xan active.

What Changes
Changes compared to the Instanced setup
- Whorl of the Depths replaces Sul-Xan's Torment in fights where there are no adds to keep Sul-Xan active.
- Tzogvin's Warband moves to the Chest slot, and Whorl takes Belt, Weapons, and Jewelry.
Use the Penetration Calculator to fine-tune your penetration for different content. Overland enemies have 9,100 armor while Instanced enemies (Arenas and Dungeons) have 18,200.
Situational Swaps
Alternative setups for different goals and content types
Content-Specific Swaps
- Replace Sul-Xan's Torment in fights with no adds. Use Whorl of the Depths in Instanced, and Deadly Strike otherwise
Additional Tips
- You can change some or all of the Stamina enchants to Health ones for extremely hard hitting bosses
- Minor Slayer sets are usually not worth running in Overland. Sul-Xan's Torment is an exception because it's extremely stat-dense, so it works in Overland even with the 3-piece Minor Slayer bonus wasted. Whorl of the Depths doesn't have that density, so it only pays off in Instanced content where Minor Slayer is active - otherwise it gets beaten by Deadly Strike
Champion Points
Race
For solo PvE you need both damage and survivability, so every race brings something to the table, but these two stand out as the best options for damage and survivability respectively
Mundus
Attributes
For most content you should put all 64 points into Stamina. For difficult content you should devote as many attribute points as necessary to Health - for some content you'll be able to get away with 32 Health 32 Stamina, for the extremely difficult stuff you'll need 64 Health.
Food
This build defaults to the tankier sustain setup. If you want more damage, switch to Garlic Cod with Potato Crust and pair it with
Tri-Stat Potion or
Heroism Potion. Braised Rabbit with Spring Vegetables gives the same buff as Garlic Cod with Potato Crust, so you can use either one.
Potions
The default option. It gives you the armor while your food covers sustain.
Full damage option. The sustain from it lets you switch from Orzorga's Smoked Bear Haunch to Garlic Cod with Potato Crust for more damage.
Same idea as
Tri-Stat Potion, but straight up better because it adds Minor Heroism on top. More damage, just much more expensive to craft.
Parses
All parses are recorded on the 6 million Target Dummy.
FAQ
Yes. Stamina Templar is a good solo build with good damage and Pale Order healing. It parses 67.6k in the regular setup and 73.3k in the full damage setup.
Use Tzogvin's Warband, Sul-Xan's Torment, Ring of the Pale Order, Slimecraw, and a Maelstrom inferno staff in the Instanced setup. Swap Sul-Xan to Whorl of the Depths in no-add fights.
Khajiit is the best damage race. Nord is the best survivability race, and the parses on this page were done on Nord.
Yes, but the default setup is Dual Wield front bar and Inferno Staff back bar. Replacing the front bar is easier than replacing the backbar because Elemental Susceptibility and Blockade of Fire do a lot for solo damage and debuff uptime.
Yes. Stamina Templar can solo Veteran Dungeons that do not require multiple players for a mechanic.
No. Use the base skills and the Instanced gear setup for both Maelstrom Arena and Vateshran Hollows.
