ESO Update 51 Hybridization, Alchemy, and Mundus Changes
Update 51 (currently scheduled for August 31) removes the duplicated Weapon and Spell buffs and gives Sorcerers and Templars new unique group buffs in their place, so pairing a Dragonknight with a Templar or a Nightblade with a Sorcerer stops being redundant. The Warrior Mundus gets both Weapon and Spell Damage, the Apprentice becomes an XP stone, and Alchemy gets consolidated traits plus four new reagents.

My take
Weapon and Spell Damage Munduses were rarely worth it in PvE (I'm sure it's different in PvP). There was one exception, on my Solo StamCro, due to additional Weapon Damage modifier from Nothing Wasted, The Warrior almost outperformed The Thief. It was close but ultimately The Thief ended up being just a tiny bit better. Kind of sad that even with so many Weapon Damage modifiers, the meta in PvE is still The Thief on almost every build.
Hard to predict anything about new Apprentice, because we don't know the value, but the interesting part is that it seems to be all experience, not just experience from kills like most modifiers, so it could boost Writ method or Dolmen method.
Buff Consolidation And Class Passives
Major Brutality and Minor Brutality will increase both Weapon and Spell Damage, while Major Sorcery and Minor Sorcery will be removed. Major Savagery and Minor Savagery will increase both Weapon and Spell Critical chance, while Major Prophecy and Minor Prophecy will be removed.
The official post also names Vexation, a new debuff initially available from Alchemy that reduces the target's healing done as a counterpart to Mending.
The official post says Dragonknights and Nightblades keep access to Minor Brutality and Minor Savagery , with those effects now carrying the combined bonuses described above.
Sorcerers no longer gain Minor Prophecy from the Dark Magic skill line and instead gain the ability to apply a unique Offensive Penetration buff to their group. Templars get a unique group Armor buff to replace Minor Sorcery .

Update 51
My take
Finally.
The new unique penetration buff should be pretty useful for bad groups. I don't think it's going to be strong enough to make organized groups move away from Alkosh, but even for them it could fill some gaps in uptime in trash packs.
Templar's unique buff becoming armor is interesting. I don't think most groups would be seeking out a Templar just for the armor buff, but fortunately they still provide unique Weapon and Spell Damage through Bright Harbinger so it should be fine.
Tanks, especially non-Nords will now be able to reach the armor cap much easier. You probably shouldn't be changing your default setup (unless you're the Templar), but now you could potentially tweak your build if you happen to have a Templar in group, for example unslot Bulwark and Fortified and slot other useful Champion Points.
The change however seems horrible for Solo Templar. It's straight up losing 10% Spell Damage and the armor won't be useful enough to offset this in any way. Hopefully it's paired with some other buffs for Solo Templar in Update 51.
Alchemy
The official post calls crafted potions and poisons the largest and most complex part of the remaining hybridization work. Increase Spell Power and Increase Weapon Power reagent traits are being combined, and Increase Spell Critical and Increase Weapon Critical reagent traits are being combined.
New Alchemy options include traits for Vexation and Mending effects, damage shields, heal absorption, and increased critical damage done with Force buffs. The Lower Weapon Power trait, which was used to inflict Maim, is being removed from existing ingredients. ZOS says Maim is easy to get elsewhere and almost nobody used it when crafting.
Some traits on existing reagents are being changed, and four new Alchemy ingredients are being added throughout Tamriel. Potion naming and visual representation are also being upgraded, with trait priority changes affecting names such as Essence of Heroism over Essence of Magicka when Heroism is present.
Most existing potion recipes stay unchanged after Update 51, at most you swap an ingredient to get the same result as before. Daily crafting writ recipes are unaffected, and Master Writs that are impacted will be updated together with the Alchemy changes. Achievements you already earned stay unlocked, but the new effects on ingredients have to be discovered again if you have not completed the relevant achievement.
